Our Vision (2024-2025)
Jazbaa, the Cultural Ministry of Ashoka University, in collaboration with the Student Life Office (SLO), is dedicated to cultivating a dynamic and inclusive cultural ecosystem on campus.
Community & Participation
We aim to significantly increase community engagement and student participation in cultural activities, making events more frequent and diverse while adhering to university policies. We actively facilitate the celebration of diverse religious, cultural, and ethnic festivals.
Inclusivity & Accessibility
Ensuring every cultural event is welcoming and accessible is paramount. We champion initiatives like dyslexia-friendly communications, media descriptions, alt text, and the installation of campus ramps (approved, targeting completion by August 2025).
Collaboration & Support
We foster collaboration between Ashoka's 40+ clubs and societies, providing logistical support and resources to strengthen our vibrant cultural landscape and ecosystem.
Intercollegiate Engagement
We strive to boost participation in inter-collegiate events through a near-approved streamlined budget for easier reimbursements and clearer off-campus policies (currently in development with SLO).
Empowerment
We are actively working on providing more accessible spaces and dedicated funds to empower individuals and groups interested in contributing creatively to Ashoka's cultural life.
